One of the most special days so far, when I met one of the people I admire the most, Ken Loach. His movie Kes transformed me. Somehow his movies translate what I want to say in my academic work in social justice, bringing together the desire for action and change, while at the same time maintaining a delicate eye that sees the beauty and dignity of people and things that are undervalued and invisible.
