CLAREC Cinema Sessions + Conversations Screening Emicida's 'AmarElo' (2019)

📣 Join us for our second CLAREC Cinema Sessions + Conversations, convened by PhD candidate Anna Maria Del Fiorentino.

This session features a screening of the Brazilian film AmarElo – It’s All for Yesterday (2020), with English subtitles. Directed by rapper and activist Emicida, the film celebrates the rich and vibrant legacy of Black Brazilian culture.

💛 Postgraduate visiting student Lucas Tavares from UFRJ will introduce the film. Following the screening, we will engage in conversations and reflections on its powerful themes.
