CLAREC Cinema Sessions + Conversations Screening 'Sorry We Missed You' (2019)
07 October, 2024

📣 Join us for our very first CLAREC Cinema Sessions + Conversations, convened by PhD candidate Anna Maria Del Fiorentino, who will introduce the screening.
Ken Loach’s Sorry We Missed You (2019) explores how the gig economy shapes the lives of a family in the North of England. The unemployed father dreams of becoming an entrepreneur as a van delivery driver, while his wife works as a care worker on a zero-hour contract.
Following the screening, we will engage in meaningful conversations about the film, precarity, and racial debates in the UK, inspired by the themes presented.
🍿 When: 14th October 2024, 10am
📍 Where: Faculty of Education, Room GS5, University of Cambridge
